Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was due to be arrested by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) today on counts of having committed offences under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Anti-Terrorism Financing Act and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (Amla) 2001.
However, following a ‘special’ directive delivered by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Rosmah will not be arrested and is now due to be produced by the anti-graft agency to the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on the 4th of October 2018.
According to a person from camp Mahathir, it is the Prime Minister’s intent to deliver the impression that Rosmah and Najib conspired to siphon billions from 1MDB.
